Crafting When We Can DT - What's the weather?

Good Morning!
Boy is it horrible losing an hour.. I always feel that I've got jetlag or someat LOL

Anyways, Sunday morning so that means a new challenge over at CWWC and this fortnights challenge is

"What's the weather?"

We are sponsored by the awesome Oddball Art Co. I've used the image Hadley & her pet cloud. They can be found HERE

I've gone for a DL card and kept it very CAS as I think the image speaks for itself. Image has been coloured using Spectrum Noir pens. Added a ribbon and bow just to pull the colour of the girls hair. Added a few silver pearls and job done.

Thanks for popping by and taking a peek!

My Time To Craft DT - Easter Animals

Boy was this a challenge!

I don't do easter cards so I struggled. After searching the internet for tiiiiime, I remembered I had this cute lilly image from I don't know where but it's cute and I've used it.

So, as you've probably guessed, the new challenge over at MTTC is "Easter Animals"

The cute lilly ducks have been coloured using spectrum noir pens. The lilly duck on the end looks green!! He is yellow, I promise LOL. A CAS-ish card from me. Of course my card wouldn't be complete without it's twine and button! The sentiment came with the image, wherever the image was from...

Thanks for popping by and taking a peek!
Enjoy the challenge :)

ATC @Wicked Wednesday

Well, last week was an epic fail!
I made my ATC then just didn't do anything with it... no pic no post no nothing!
I was determind to join in this weeks challenge LOL
So here is my ATC for this weeks challenge at Wicked Wednesday, theme Cherry Blossom

I've thought out the box a little with this. The background is an image I've had for a while. I copy, pasted and flipped the image over to get the double image of the cherry blossoms. The image is from Lacy Sunshine and can be found HERE. I've cropped her and cut her out. I've layered vellum over the top of the background to make it more subtle as it was rather bright and clashing with the girl. I've added gems to the top of the vellum to show the middle of the flowers.

Enjoyed this week challenge.. thanks for popping by and taking a peek!

New Baby..

Second post of the day from me.

This time I'm sharing with you a card I made for my Brother & Sister-in-Law on the birth of my Nephew last week.
It's an All Dressed Up Image called My Baby Shower. The image can be found HERE.I've taken off the wording on the image and added my own.

I printed the image direct on to 8x8 paper and then printed just the image on to white card stock, coloured and cut it out. I've 3d'd the items on the line to add some depth. Image was coloured using copics and spectrum noir pens. A CAS card but effective, I can see me making more long these lines especially with this adorable image!

I'm entering this challenge in to the following:

1. All Dressed Up - Anything Goes

2. The Pink Elephant - Picture Inspiration
(I've used the blue & white colours and interpreted the picture as spring = new life)

3.Crafty Cardmakers - Spring Has Sprung

4. Creative Fingers - Anything Goes

Thanks for popping by and taking a peek!

Do You Want To Build A Snowman??....

Well not quite!
The sun has finally arrived.. YAY!

Anyways, you've probably guessed from the title that I've got another frozen card to show you today.
This ones a lilly different to the others I've done as it's flippin' HUGE! and because it's Elsa & Anna

Both images are from Sassy Studio Designs. The post for them can be found HERE. They've been coloured using both promarkers and spectrum noir pens. Elsa's dress has been glittered up too. The background of the card is vellum embossed with dots. Such a super cool effect. The other background with the swirly pattern is vellum too with the glitter swirly pattern. The card itself is A4. I had a hard time colouring Anna tho. Sooooo much detail! I think I'd have struggled even more if the image was smaller lol. Added the ribbon and bow to finish off. The sentiment is printed off the pc and waltograph font was used.

I'm entering this in to the following challenges:

1. Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge - Use a boy/girl/both

2. Addicted to Stamps & More - Make Your Mark

3. Crafty Gals Corner - Anything Goes

4. C.R.A.F.T Challenge - Inspired By A Film

My Time To Craft DT - Silhouette Image

Good Morning!
Mixed bag today... I'm having to work and missing the football... not the happiest bunny today!
But, on the plus side... I became an Auntie yesterday! Lilly Zac was born on my Mom & Dad's Wedding Anniversary so we won't miss his birthday :) Me and Dad went straight down the Villa shop. So his got a Villa kit with "Diddy" and #1 on it. Sooo cute!

Anyway, enough rambling.. this weeks challenge over at MTTC is "Silhouette Image"
I knew instantly what I was going to do..

I wanted to go with a classic look and I remembered my friend sending me the die cut. Perfect for this challenge. My Godmother came over and brought it. Had to make another one too for her other friend lol. Although, looking at it, the picture is a bit naff. Not the best lighting..

Hope to see what You all come up with! :)

Crafting When We Can DT - Favourite Hobby/Activity

Good Morning!
My last week then I'm off from Friday onwards.... wahay!

Over at CWWC we have the new fortnightly challenge. This week the challenge theme is "Favourite Hobby/Activity" and we are sponsored by the awesome Ppinkydolls. I'd never heard of these images before but now I'm hooked! They are soooo super cute! :)

I've used Octopus Girl which can be found HERE. She is adorable. When I was a little girl I used to have a green and purple swimsuit and I loved to build sandcastles, although I'd go next step and make a fortress, hence where the sentiment has come from for the greeting. I've coloured her usingspectrum noir pens and promarkers. Went for something a lilly different with the colours too. The yellow is glitter card and the purple is like cracked. Simple but yet still super cute :)

Please do pop by the blog and take a peek!

My Time To Craft DT - For A Special Lady

Morning!

Another Saturday which means time for a new challenge over at MTTC. And this weeks challenge is

"For A Special Lady"

Now with Mother's Day tomorrow, this is a perfect challenge. I made mine a while ago but the card I'm showing you today was for my boy's mom. I've also used a bit of a play on words too.

The image is from Aurora Wings, it's called Peacock Masquerade and can be found HERE. I've coloured using spectrum noir pens and added so sakura pen detail using a white one. I wanted to make the image really stand out so decided to back the image on to gold glitter card. Added the aqua ribbon to pull the colour down the card and added the sentiment that I've printed off the pc. The sentiment reads...
"Be a girl with a mind, a women with attitude and a lady with class"
My play on words ;) fair to say the boy's mom loved it and has framed it!

Happy Morther's Day to all the moms around the world. I love mine to bits. She's a lovely loon!

Enjoy the challenge!

Mom....

Morning!

An early post for a change LOL! this morning I'm sharing with you my Mom's Mother's day card.
I've used the colours of our favourite football team, Claret and Blue of Aston Villa FC. And every year we have the debate of... "Only Brummies say Mom!" I think it's true tho to be honest. Everyone else I know says "Mum" but hey, what's an O and U? They are all loved the same way :)

I've used a gorgeous little image by Tiddly Ink called Fairy Tenderhearted which can be found HERE. I've coloured her up using promarkers. It was so hard to do the hair! The cool aqua kept running out on me so had to do it in stages. I really do need to buy another one lol. The papers are from my stash along with the ribbon, button, twine and gems. The "Mom" is die cut from glitter card.

The challenges I'd like to enter in to are:

1. I Love Promarkers - Fantasy/Fairy Tales

2. Creative Fingers - Anything Goes

3. Crafty Gals Corner - Cute As A Button

Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek!

Lilac Flowers

Hello! I'm sure I seem to be blogging later and later LOL!
What I really want to be doing is reading my book. I've nearly finished the fourth book of the Caster Chronicles, the first book is the film "Beautiful Creatures" Brilliant books!

Anyways, I'm showing you a card tonight that I've made for Mother's Day

The image is from Aurora Wings and I love her! She's one of the first images I brought and I was a lilly horrified of colouring it in but I'm glad I did! I went for subtle tones for a change. I love the lilac and green together. The image is called Gardenia and can be found HERE. I've coloured her with promarkers too. Not a spectrum noir in sight! It was too intricate for them LOL. Wanted to kepp it simple and emphasize the image. I added some really tiny pearls to mirror the image.

I'd like to enter this creation in to the following:

1. Passion for Promarkers - For a Special Lady

2. Cute Card Thursday - Celebrate!

Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek!

Elsa...

I love love love this image I've used on the card I'm about to show you tonight.
It's the second card I've used it on this week! EEEEK!

She is from Sassy Studio Designs, the post for her can be found HERE. For this card, I wanted to keep it very white so the image is standing out instantly. I've coloured her using Spectrum Noir pens but used promarkers on the hair. I've glittered up her bodice and skirt in the same glitter and then used a finer glitter to glitter up her train. The backing paper is actually vellum with a glittered up swirl pattern on it which I've layered up on white card. The #4 is die cut while the sentiment has been printed on to vellum. I've added a snowflake button to the ribbon bow. Funny how christmas ribbon can work on a card lol.

A few more pictures :)

I'm entering this card into the follwoing challenges:

1. Penny's Paper-Crafty Challenge - Ribbon and Bow

2. The Ribbon Girl - Birthday Themed Any Image

Thanks for pooping by and taking a peek!

On My Farm...

Good... night?!
Well I couldn't say good evening as it's now 10:30 lol. Always baffles me that does..
Anyhoo's, I'm back with another card to show you. To be honest, I've literally fell in love with this image plus the card turned out far better than I expected!

I wanted the make the image stand out so I've 3D'd a layer. Coloured completely using Spectrum Noir pens. The image is from All Dressed Up and can be found HERE. the card is for a Great Grandson. The lady who's ordered it originally wanted Mr Tumble... WOW! That guy was freaking me out! I don't know how kids can watch him... LOL! I did explain that I've changed the theme and she loved it anyways. I'd cut and coloured the image then struggled to find some backing paper for it. Low and behold, I pulled out the blue spotty paper from my stash and the green striped was lying on top. It literally was a "boom! job done" moment. I've also layered it on to white to make the image stand out more. It's not very often that I look at a card and think "I'm really pleased with this" this was one of those moments.

I'm entering this card in to the following challenges:

1. Fab 'n' Funky - Focus on the Image

3. Cardz 4 Guyz - Hobbies/Pastimes - Tractors/Visiting the farm

Thanks for popping by and taking a peek! :)

Let it gooooo.....

I do love Frozen.. and colouring this image to make Ebony's 4th Birthday card :)

The image is from Sassy Studio Designs and can be found HERE. She's been coloured using spectrum noirs but the hair was coloured with promarkers. I struggled with the hair to be honest because so it's so light! But I think I've pulled it off. the bodice of the dress I've glittered up and the overlay train is actually glittered vellum. I used vellum so it would give the transparent look. The sentiment is printed on to vellum too and the font is a disney font from dafont. The #4 is die cut.

I'm entering this card into the following challenges:

1. That Craft Place - Anything Goes/Mother's Day

2. Chocolate, Coffee & Cards - For A Child

3. Sassy Studio Designs - To Die For

Thanks for stopping by & taking a peek!

St.Patrick's Day

I'm on a roll today!

This post now is to show two cards I've made for St.Patrick's Day. I've used two images from Aurora Wings, Clover Pixie and Leprechaun.

The cards are for a brother and sister from their Nan. I think I would have struggled if it had been for two girls! Both images have been coloured using spectrum noir pens. I've used the same green on the clovers as on the leprechaun's clothes. I struggled to colour the leprechaun a bit as I'd never coloured one before but I'm happy with the outcome. The cards themselves are 6x6". I also wanted to keep them quite simple. The sentiments have been printed off the pc with clover pixie having hers printed on vellum.

Here's a few more pics... and the song title I'm using is...

"Get Lucky" by Daft Punk featuring Pharell Williams

I'm entering these two cards into the following challenges:

1. Creative Card Crew - Green

2. Crafty Catz - Song title to match your image

Thanx for stopping by and taking a peek!

ATC

Hello :)

First time I'm making an ATC for ages, but thought I'd give these another go. they make perfect toppers :)

I'm entering into the challenge at Wicked Wednesday ATC.
The challenge is to pick 3 of the following:

Wings/Pearls or Gems/Lots of Pink Goth or Emo/Paper Piecing/Add a Die Cut Flowers/Add Some Paint/Use Mists or Sprays/Washi Tape

I've used Washi tape/goth or emo/lots of pink

The image is from The Greeting Farm, Cordelia and can be found HERE. Now, considering I'm a girl it's safe to say I'm not very girlie at all and I don't like pink. but I use a lot of pink on my cards which is strange! LOL. And no, I wouldn't like pink hair even tho I've coloured her with having pink hair. She's been coloured using spectrum noir pens. The washi tape is from ikea. Love that place and the curly border has been drawn on by me :) I did make her into a card as well...

Thanks for popping by and taking a peek

My Time To Craft DT - Zentangle

Morning!
Up bright and early today. I'm too excited! Going to watch the football team I support this evening play our local rivals in the 2nd of two matches playing them this week. We beat them on Tuesday night and I'm hoping we do the same again today!

Anyways, enough about football (I'm so not girlie!) We have a new challenge over at MTTC this week and it certainly was a challenge...

"Zentangle"

I had no idea what or how to zentangle but after looking on YouTube I found a lot of help and came up with this

Wanted to keep the card simple with the emphasis on the zentangle. I've used washi tape for extra detail on the back. I had a lot of fun doing this technique. I would say tho, use a fine pen rather than a sakura pen that I used.

Looking forward to see what everyone comes up with!

Pink, Grey & Kraft

We are sponsored by Meljen Design's. Some lovely digi images. I've used Hot Air Balloon which can be found HERE.

Went for a CAS card again. The image was coloured in using promarkers. Paper is out of my stash and the sentiment is printed off the pc.
