My Time To Craft DT - Bugs or Insects

Good Morning Everyone... Hope you are all well and staying out of the cold and snow!
We've not had much here but where I was working yesterday they had a fair bit.

Anyways, on to this weeks challenge at MTTC which is

"Bugs or Insects"
These must be part of your main image.

I struggled with this as I was drawing a blank. But I did this for my Mom's friend

Wanted to not over do it so punched out the butterflies and added the pearls for the bodies. The gems I used to make the butterflies look like they were leaving a trail. the flowers I had in my stash.

A super quick post from me.. I'm off out with the Boy.
Enjoy the challenge!

My Time To Craft DT - Two or more people

Morning!
I hope you are all dry and warm where you are. I must admit, I'd rather have the snow than the rain. I hate rain with a passion!

Anyhoo's, this weeks challenge over at MTTC is

"Use an image with 2 or more people"

I had an idea for this straight away. Was like a lightbulb being switched on.
Now, I have to confess, I didn't make my Boy a christmas card, so making him a Valentines one instead. Although I'm not really into valentines to be honest, but anyway.... I've thought out the box a little with this.
The digi images are from C.C Designs and they are the meoples. The sentiment was part of the set as well. Now, the girl is coloured to look like me, although I have short hair, and the boy to look like the other half! hehehe... And don't be fooled by the grey hair.. his 36 LOL

Because it's for the Boy, I wanted to do a CAS card. The sketch I've used from Crafting When We Can as I loved it that much! The digi's have been coloured in using promarkers and copics and spectrum noirs. I clearly couldn't decide what to use! also tried to use our football colours, his Manchester United and I'm Aston Villa, so red for United and claret & blue for Villa.

Looking forward to see what you come up with!
Enjoy!

Crafting When We Can DT - Sketch

Good Morning!

Some great creations for the "Anything but a card" challenge over at CWWC.
I love to think outside the box and I've made another picture box too.

So, on to this weeks sketch which is a sketch. We are also sponsored this week by the lovely
Aurora Wings. I've used the image "the Gift" which can be found HERE.

This is what I've come up with:

Wanted to keep my card quite CAS but use the hints of colour. The image has been coloured using Spectrum Noir pens. I've added liquid pearl to the actual pearl in the clam and used sickles on the girl's hair. The sentiment is hand stamped on to the card with some pearls to finish off.

Excited to see what you all come up with!

My Time To Craft DT - Love Is All Around

Good Morning!

Some great creations for last weeks challenge using stripes. This week is completely different again over at MTTC with a theme of

"Love Is All Around"

The interpretations are endless!

I went with a wedding card and candle. The colour scheme and image are adaptations to what was on the invites.

The image I flipped to add the wording in the middle and punched out the butterflies. The pearls were added to the bodies and behind to make them look like they are flying around. The candle is exactly the same.

Have fun with the challenge!

My Time To Craft DT - Stripes

Good Morning!

Wow! Lots of entries for the "All New Things" challenge. A lot of variety.

This week we have the challenge of "Stripes" over MTTC.
Well, I didn't think I'd struggle with this challenge as much as I did! I use stripe paper all the time!
But I did get some inspiration :) So, here's what I've got:

The stunning image is from Aurora Wings and can be found HERE. I've coloured her using Promarkers and added gold liquid pearls after I'd coloured the stars in grey. I wanted to use the stripes as the background as I've had a stars embossing folder for ages and I've hardly used it! Prefect! The sentiment I've had printed off the computer for ages too. Thought it fit quite nice. Added some gold gems for a bit extra detail.. I was unsure whether the gold would work with grey and pink, but I'm happy with it.

That's it from me, off to do a few orders...

Crafting When We Can DT - Anything But A Card

Happy New Year To You All!

I hope you had a lovely christmas and celebrated the New Year in, We had a quiet one.
That's what you get for working in retail :)

So a brand new challenge over at CWWC this fortnight. this fortnight we are sponsored by Fitztown. The image I've used is Fae 2 which can be found HERE

I was particularly quite excited by this challenge. I've had these box frames for ages and wanted to do domething different with them, so I came up with this....

You'll have to excuse the pictures, It's really hard to photograph!

I've coloured her using Spectrum Noir pens. I went for colours that were subtle but bold at the same time. I've mounted her on to white card and raised her away from the background so she is raised away from the frame around the picture. I was going to add a saying but decided on the flowers instead. The pearls are coloured using Spectrum Noir pens as well. They dry super quick!

Here's some more pictures....

Can't wait to see what everyone comes up with.
Have fun!

My Time To Craft DT - All New Things

Happy New Year To You All!

I hope you all had a lovely christmas and celebrated in the New Year.

We have a brand new challenge on over at MTTC this week, the theme is

"All Things New"

this could be new stash, new house, new baby...

I went with New Home and used a Pink Petticoat image

Kept the design pretty simple and white with a hint of colour, red! Sorry the picture is so dark. Was having a bit of trouble photographing it. The background is embossed using a chevron embossing folder. The image has been coloured using promarkers. No buttons or twine either! Shocking!

Have fun with the challenge..
